sluggish saturday?
after yesterday’s dazzling brooklyn weather, today’s grim, gray and vaguely chilly climate is a bit of a bummer. foot traffic in red hook is virtually nil, but as i type, one intrepid shopper is stowed away in the dressing room trying on new pin-tuck dressers as well as anne’s shirt dresses and annie hill’s much-loved romper.
also, we’ve got fancy hula hoops in and will be having a hula hoop day soon (!!!). we also made a bunch of new sock monster friends who are keeping me company for the rest of the day. additionally, some beautiful flower brooches made of re-purposed zippers.

we are almost 1 month old.
we are really happy being shopkeepers. we love our customers. we love their dogs, especially. opening a shop has been really challenging as well as hilarious and often we’ve thought we would lose our minds. that still may happen. but so far, so good.
from this point forward, we will be ramping up our game and doing fun stuff at the store and in red hook proper. we will be profiling some of our awesome contributors on the regs and uploading new stuff as it comes in.
as ever, if you make stuff or know people who do, we are interested in taking on rad new vendors and selling the hell out of their stuff at our retail juggernaut. dig?
